“What makes us profoundly different is our approach to democratise design as we strongly believe that creativity shouldn’t be accessible for the lucky few, but instead embedded within our education curriculum as a powerful tool and method of learning.”

It all began with one simple idea.

How can we use the skills that you learn through the practice of design, to equip the next generation of girls to be confident leaders, thinkers and change-makers?

Co-founding Sisterhood

“One of the greatest initiatives to come out Central Saint Martins” - Jeremy Till. This tweet gave us the confidence to ‘just start’.

Before Sisterhood was the social enterprise we know it as today, Sisterhood started whilst we were both studying Graphic Design at Central Saint Martins where we were classmates and flatmates and little did we know that a self-initiated, collaborative project was actually the beginning of Sisterhood and our co-founder journey too.

Sisterhood started as a design research project and since then we have facilitated over 13 social impact projects, designed countless assets and are 3.5 years into building a business. We have grown from being designers to embracing the multi hyphenated ‘designer-facilitator-entrepreneur’ hats and bring all three perspectives to any project we embark on.

We regularly give talks, workshops and lectures on creative education, design, social entrepreneurship & supporting next gen. of girls.

You can find us documenting our process of co-founding a social-driven business via ‘Cofounding.Sisterhood’
