Sisterhood Summer in partnership with Natwest Thrive exists to provide 16-20 year old girls and gender-expanding youth a pathway to become confident changemaking founders, empowered to make a difference in the world of entrepreneurship and beyond. 

We started with a group of incredible, driven young people and took them through an intensive two week journey in which they went from business idea to business pitch.

Covering everything from market research, brand strategy, design, theory of change, financial planning, business values, public speaking coaching & more…

Changemakers worked on missions ranging from women’s health, food and poverty, to AI and social investing. 

Together, they addressed 12/17 UN SDGs and created products and services including sustainable and accessible menstrual products, an online social investing platform, gut-friendly snacks for children, and a luxury networking community for black female entrepreneurs. 🥊🌟

Along the way, we were joined by 11 mentors, 12 designers, and 3 changemaking experts. Every single one of them lifted our changemakers up and helped to turn their business dreams into a reality. We couldn’t be more grateful to them all!

As someone who’s passionate about self-development, I quickly saw that the way the programme was thought through was not about creating a quick fix. There was a lot of thought behind selecting the right mentor for each mentee, bringing in a public speaking coach, and weaving in reminders to erase self-doubt or limiting beliefs along the way. After two weeks of hard work, Sisterhood Summer culminated with an epic pitch night hosted at Natwest Conference Centre. Our 17 changemakers each had two minutes to flex their new entrepreneurial muscles and make an impression on our audience of potential coaches and contacts.

After Sisterhood Summer, 100% of changemakers feel more confident in their ability to communicate, generate ideas, solve problems, and work as a team.

After all this, our changemakers took to Soho House to celebrate their success in style! 

We were joined by the amazing Rosie Anwara who led a creative workshop with the girls, and our brilliant sponsor Vans returned to Sisterhood Summer for the second time!
